Very early this morning as I lay in bed reflecting on a women’s conference I attended yesterday, I was deeply moved by what a tremendous blessing it had been.
The committee’s decision to include the men in this year’s conference was definitely divinely inspired. Therefore women, men, and children attended, making the conference theme “Standing Together Against the Enemy: Victory!” relatable and relevant to the varied relationships of our lives.
There were so many powerful memories that singling one as most outstanding would be extremely difficult. The entire experience was outstanding including music, message, ministering, and mingling. Together each contributed to a day I’m not likely to forget.
That said, I must admit to two special moments that touched me both personally and spiritually. The first occurred near the close of the conference. One of the musicians asked if he could say something. Given permission to, he began by saying he is a regular listener to my radio broadcast, Victoriously Today. Then referring to the July 9th broadcast, which was based on my blog The 2015 Declaration of Independence, he shared he was encouraged by the message. As usual I had closed with an exhortation to live victoriously today regardless of circumstance, condition, or situation. The young man said though he had been encouraged by the message, the walking victoriously part left him feeling “yeah-uh huh that works for her but I don’t feel victory.” Sharing honestly that he saw no sign of victory with the dire concern he faced about continuing his education, he told us that almost immediately after the broadcast ended, he received a phone call that eradicated all his concern plus some. His victory had come quickly; and after his testimony, likewise praise came quickly in the conference! Victory!!!
Then after the benediction a second moment came. This time it was from a recent college graduate who is also the mother of a precocious young son. As she weighs her professional options, she is serving and making a difference in her family, church, and community. Our paths had intersected recently while shopping. As a result, we connected while discussing present world issues and living by faith. Although I had just blogged about how God can perform the extraordinary in unexpected places, I had not fully comprehended the impact that our paths intersecting had meant until yesterday. Victory had come in an unexpected place!!!
So early this morning as I reflected on yesterday, it dawned on me how God may use any of us to promote His desire that believers live a life of victory over whatever the vicissitudes of this present world. There was an acute awareness that God truly wants each of us to walk victoriously each day in the power of His Son, Jesus Christ. Aha Affirmation 101! Yes, I knew this but He deposited it afresh this morning exhorting me as I begin each day, this should to be an affirmation. So powerful it is that, I invite you to begin each day by adding this affirmation to your starting your day with the Lord. The power of recognizing it as documented to me yesterday was reaffirmed. So try beginning each day, no matter what you’re facing, with this from Affirmation 101…God wants me, through Jesus Christ the Lord, to walk victoriously this day in Him!!!
