He was a “Drum Major for Peace” whose mission was to call this nation to live up to the constitutional rights and inalienable dignity guaranteed every American.
Let us not sum him up by one speech. He was far more than a dream or a dreamer. He was a visionary who, among so much more, called America's sleeping moral conscience to awaken to the humanity bestowed by God.
Although a dedicated pastor, prolific orator, intellectual phenome, strategic thinker, and Civil Rights leader, he was also a husband, father, son, and friend…a human being born to shine light on the moral darkness that had enveloped this nation for more than three hundred years.
